It’s Monday, What Are You Reading is a weekly meme hosted by The Book Date where everybody gets to share what they are presently and about to read during the week.
I don’t hate Mondays and I’m happy to say that Mondays and I have always been in good terms. However, this particular Monday, 27th of February, in this particular week, seems a little bit off for me. I have so so so much work to do; and so so so many more stuff to fix about my life in general! Gee. I’m so tired already just thinking about EVERYTHING!!! Anyway, enough of my little rant. 🙂 I’ll just be having a quick check in as to what’s in store for me this week, reading-wise. 🙂 At least this part of my life is exciting 😉
1) An opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome;
2) A person’s undoing;
3) Joshua Templeman.
Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman hate each other. Not dislike. Not begrudgingly tolerate. Hate. And they have no problem displaying their feelings through a series of ritualistic passive aggressive maneuvers as they sit across from each other, executive assistants to co-CEOs of a publishing company. Lucy can’t understand Joshua’s joyless, uptight, meticulous approach to his job. Joshua is clearly baffled by Lucy’s overly bright clothes, quirkiness, and Pollyanna attitude.
Now up for the same promotion, their battle of wills has come to a head and Lucy refuses to back down when their latest game could cost her her dream job…But the tension between Lucy and Joshua has also reached its boiling point, and Lucy is discovering that maybe she doesn’t hate Joshua. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game.
So I am currently reading The Hating Game by Sally Thorne and my goodness, I am loving each word that comes out of this book! This is just the refresher I need coming from a week-long slump! It seems like after having a very successful reading month last January, everything went downhill when February started! Ha! But then I get this precious in my little hands and everything is right in the world again! 🙂
I’m currently halfway through it and I can’t imagine it ending already! Just thinking about closing the last page already makes me really really sad! Overly dramatic, yeah. It’s just I’m so so in love with Josh and Lucy and the slow burn hate to love relationship that’s going on between them. I can’t say much yet, y’know, but things are really looking up! Never a dull moment, and I can’t wait to see what happens next! ❤
Have you guys read The Hating Game? Let’s talk about what you thought about it in the comments below! 🙂
